I am one very excited person today! Why…do you ask?
Well the reason I am so excited is because I have officially accomplished all my New Year’s fitness resolutions as of today.
For those of you who don’t know what they were, here is a list:
- Drop body weight to 175lbs from 190lbs
- Increase strength in the following lifts: Squats, Bench, Row, Deadlift
- Drop to <10% body fat from 12.4%
- Run 1.5 miles in <12 minutes
Now here are the official results:
- Current body weight of 173lbs
- 1 Rep Max for Squats 365lbs from 335lbs
- 1 Rep Max for Bench Press 245lbs from 235lbs
- 1 Rep Max for Row 230lbs from 200lbs
- 1 Rep Max for Deadlift 375lbs from 320lbs
- Body fat 7.3%
- 1.5 mile run in 11:52
My workouts have been pretty simple. There was really nothing too fancy. But as I’ve said time and time again, consistency is the name of the game. For the first time I was even able to keep my nutrition consistent. Consistent resistance training, consistent cardio training, and consistent nutrition. It really all just came together and ahead of schedule. Now it’s time to see how far I can go till the end of the year and then set some new goals for 2010.
